History

Founded in 1994 by Susan Wang, the Queensland World Dance Academy specializes in classical ballet and oriental dance, forming the cornerstone of the academy's distinctive character.

The academyโ€™s first major production, Cloud and ShadowIn 1998, a remarkable show debuted at the Brisbane Suncorp Theatre. Kevin Rudd, an honored attendee, lauded it as a flawless fusion of Western and Eastern traditions, contributing significantly to Australia's cultural diversity. This event heralded the ascent of QWDA as a leading advocate for multiculturalism in various Australian gatherings.

In 2007, QWDA achieved a significant milestone by being the pioneer training organization in Australia to introduce Certificate IV and Diploma programs in Western and Eastern dance. This remarkable accomplishment firmly established QWDA as a frontrunner in dance education. Presently, QWDA is renowned for its outstanding professionalism in various dance genres and is committed to fostering exceptional talents in dancers.
